I'm attempting to add my weekly update here as planned but the site won't allow much editing/adding to my website via the phone so we'll see where this lands up. I want it on my weekly updates page but it won't show that so I guess it's well be on my blog page for now šš
It's been wonderful getting back on the road again though even considering the extreme curves and hills. I immensely enjoyed visiting my daughter and grandkids but the road feels like my true home and I'm happy to be home. š
I also stopped by my sister's and visited with her in Paris. She showed me around the Subiaco Abbey and I then wandered there for hours, while she was working.
Now I'm headed south, like the birds for the winter. I found a wonderful spot near Mena up in the Ouachita mountains. Very quiet and secluded. Just like I like. š„° I "plan" to head towards the western part of the coast of Texas. But I am not sure of the route yet. Or even if I'll end up there, that's mostly dependent on the weather. As usual I'll play it by ear and go with the flow.
I've been listening to an audiobook about the amazing world of animals senses and how we can learn from them or learn to understand them better called An Immense World. It's more than that though, it's more than just understanding their world but rather more about learning to live alongside them and knowing they have very different ways of seeing and experiencing the world than we do and we most likely can never fully understand it or them. Which makes me think of how we should experience all beings. We may not be able to fully understand how "they" experience the world and hence the way they live their lives but we can choose to acknowledge that it is their lives and their understanding of it and how they are built. We should not take offense or try to change them, or look down on them etc, because it is different from how we experience it. Just accept and love them as they are. š
I hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, and peaceful New Year ā¤ļø
